Video je prostorovou hrou, kdy se strop jeví podlahou a zdánlivá jistota je jen iluzí. Stojící nohy se nejistě pohupují na vratkém podkladu, který na konci vyletí prudce vzhůru a divák je konfrontován se zjištěním, že vše bylo obráceně: video je promítáno opačně, než bylo natočeno. Práce vznikla po rozhovoru s mým otcem o institucích, které vytvářejí iluzi pevného základu, ale jsou často postavené na vratkých idejích.

This video is a spatial game with the beholder, presenting the ceiling as the floor, where certainty is just an illusion. The legs are balancing on an uncertain ground, which flies up rapidly in the end of the sequence. The viewer then finds out, that everything is upside-down. An inspiration for this work was a dialogue with my father on the topic of institutions which create an illusion of a solid ground while they are often built on unstable ideas.
