There is no doubt that we need to relate to the space we inhabit in one way or another. This relation can have different forms, from fusing with this space, through differentiating oneself from it, up to longing for the possibility to somehow appropriate this space. A circle is one of the basic elements of a majority of existing rituals and even in our daily rituals we tend to implement it – embrace, encircle, hem about… In case that our physical body is not sufficient for such purposes, we can symbolically prolong it by using a tool. In an action called Encirclement, a human figure is trying to cast a boomerang around a tower building. The figure expects to overthrow the entire building and catch the boomerang back from the other side. This symbolically means capturing the reality in front of us, trying to compass it and relate it to ourselves.
